A downloadable game for Windows

Welcome Heretic...

In this PSX-style horror game,  you are forced to write confessions (or theories) and hide their notes while attempting to escape. The core mechanics revolve around typing out text on paper and progressively weakening the window bars using tools, all while avoiding detection in a retro, low-poly, atmospheric world.

(My very first video game ever has been quite the experience, seven days locked at home, only to have the dialogues not appear in the build and not working menu, lol
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the game even without the dialogues for now, sorry if the audio is not balanced and for the lack of menu, it's buggy but i'll try to fix it within the Game Jam fixing time. I’ll upload the complete version. This one it’s fully playable, and I hope you have fun with it!

Great, another game where I can't hide the mouse cursor while moving the camera.

NICE

Interesting game!  I'm quite curious as to what the entire confessional states.  I didn't find any tools but I can't make it through the entire confessional yet, either, so maybe it comes later.  One thing I'd like to see is for the game not to take what feels like a minute of time to let me play again.  That intro is a bit too slow and leaves me wondering if I need to hit a key to proceed (but this doesn't seem to be the case) -- this could however be where you mention the missing dialogue might be coming up.  If the game is progressing through multiple nights in the cell, it'd be nice to be able to hide my papers and start out where I left off the next night, maybe with a limited number of nights to finish, or alternately have the number of nights it takes you be posted to a leaderboard or something similar to invoke players returning and trying to beat their shortest stint in the slammer.

I'm interested to see how your development on this game progresses!
